Julia A. Turner
I am a PhD student in Human Development and Public Policy at Northwestern University and an NSF Graduate Research Fellow.
I study how students think about education and training, including when and why students make post-secondary investment choices. My training is grounded in economics, but uses insights and methods from other social sciences such as political science and sociology.
In 2023-2024 I spent a year as a Staff Economist with The Council of Economic Advisers. Previously, I worked as a Research Fellow at Blueprint Labs at MIT. I graduated with honors from Amherst College in 2019 with a BA in Economics and English.
